I found the answer to my question all by myself…I’m so proud of me…
For aircraft wing flaps accurate rotation, use the Top Toolbar Buton andquot;Edit using object coordinatesandquot;. This will allow you to rotate the flaps up or down while keeping their alignment with the wing.

Does anyone know of a simple solution for positioning the flaps on aircraft wings, so that they rotate properly?
What I’m getting at is that aircraft wings are generally angled downward, and tapered(top to bottom, and front to back), and this causes probelms when trying to get the flap portion of the wing to rotate properly. I’ve tried over a hundred different shift operations with no luck, and am wondering if someone has found a simple method.
It would be great if there were a way to apply duplicate axis points to a single object for hinging objects of this type.
