When right-clicking an object, the Component Properties would also be selectable. This would be much easier than 1. Displaying the Properties/Info panel(if hidden). 2. Selecting the Hierarchy tab and highlighting the group. 3. Selecting the Component Properties tab.
Maybe I’m missing something here, but this seems a step backwards from 7.1.2 (I’ve stuck my foot in my mouth plenty of times before!)

HI
Although not quite the same I do find the separate properties panel be time consuming and awkward to use.
I have to agree that right clicking on the object to select Properties is much more efficient than pulling up the properties panel each time. The absence of this shortcut does seem a backward move.

Ctrl-double-click immediately opens a shape’s group properties. As far as I can tell it’s actually faster than right-clicking on a shape, then moving the mouse to where the "properties" would be on the right-click menu and then clicking on "properties".
Alt-double-click immediately opens the shape’s properties. Again, I think it is actually faster than the right-click procedure.

Right click on just about anything, anywhere in Windows (Standard Function) and "properties" are usually the last item on the menu that appears. (Standard Function of Windows) <!– s:shock: –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt="" title="Shocked" /><!– s:shock: –>

CTRL + Click = Select to end of line

Part of the problem at the moment is that I don’t have any menu entries available due to a limiation in my development environement.
Dick8299 made a valid point in saying that ctrl-double-click only works if you have a hand near the keyboard. I personally always have my left hand on the keyboard when using the mouse, but not everyone does, it seems.
I’m looking to add "properties", but it means adding a "Component Properties" and a "Group Properties", which means two entries. I don’t really like it, and not just because it means finding two new menu entries.
And since we are the topic of key usage, on the desktop (more of an equivalent of objects in 3DCrafter) ctrl-click means "toggle" selection, and ctrl-double-click means "open minimized". <!– s;) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!– s;) –>

This request is complete. It doesn’t work as in 7.2 since there is no combined "group/object" properties, but there is now "Group Properties" and "Shape Properties" right-click menu entries.

Thank you for adding this feature.
