A lot of Plug-ins etc not dropping down in 6.6.5.10

Thanks Paul for answering both this posting and one in UKTS concerning LODs. I’ll try to keep things to the same forums next time instead of having you jump all over the place.

Regarding the Plugin dll’s, you were absolutely correct. Actually I had downloaded your latest plugin but somehow in the muddle of switching from the old 3DC to this latest version I installed the older plugins thinking they were the new. My apologies.

Everything is showing in the menu’s now.

It seem that quite a number of Paul Gausden’s MSTS plug-ins like ‘Rodz6’ and the new ‘Double Side’ do not show up in the plug-ins or script drop down list.

I went to Toolsandgt;options and checked off all the boxes but the above plug-ins and scripts dont show up there either, though they are in their correct folders. I read previous suggestions for this same problem and uninstalled, cleaned registry of 3DC stuff, did a clean install, liscenced, downloaded and installed new upgrade, then added Paul’s scripts and plugins to their respective folders and … still not available.

The other forum message on this article had no resolution mentioned.

Any suggestions please.

I think they had to be changed at least twice when new versions of 6.6.5.x were released.

yes I do have the latest plugins. Not all plugins were updated. This could be the cause of some of them not showing, but the updated ones like double-side should show as an operation or on a drop down menu and it doesn’t? It doesn’t even appear in options so I can put a check mark against it.

My apologies. Double side does show up as an operation. I was looking for ‘Double Side’ but it was ‘Add faces to the back side of selected faces or all faces in a selected group’. The rest, especially ‘Rodz6’ still isn’t working but I’m plugging away at it.

Notice the block of plugin dll’s beginning with MSTS are not showing up in options though I’ve done everything correctly as I’ve evidenced.

I’d suggest:

1) uninstall both 3DC and the 3DC Pro Upgrade. Make sure there are no 3DC related items left in the Control Panel’s Add/Remove Programs.

2) delete the ‘3DC xxx’ and/or ‘Amabilis’ folders from ‘Program Files’ and ‘My Documents’. Be sure to save any documents you may have in them.

3) Download the latest version of 3DC and install it. Enter your license code, then download and install the Pro Upgrade.

That’s a bit of a clue as to what’s wrong…

I have changed the names of all the dlls to start with TS, instead of MSTS – You have an old version there.
