A few helpfull tools..

this is the second time I’ve writen this now as I for got to fill in the subject field..Hehehehe

anyways..

I’ve noticed that if you hit the delete key when a vert is selected.. it trims it.. lovely.. but if you delete an edge it leaves a whole.. it would be nice if it just trimmed it too..

Hitting spacebar brings up 4 views.. hitting it again in the selected view will enlarge that view…

selecting face loops.. as well as the now edge loops.. all you would need to do is select 2 faces to set the loop direction. if you select 1 face, the operation wouldn’t no wich way your wanting to loop.. unless this can be done too!:)

Hotkey for hiding/unhiding any faces that are selected.. even if there apart of a single mesh.. that way you only see the faces your interested in, for details…

Hitting 1,2,3,4,5 ect.. will bring you into a top, bottom, side/s, front/back and perspective views.. but maybe the specebar will do this job.. fairly similar

I don’t know how hard this would be to do .. but.. it’s about the Object Layers.. it would be great if, when you make/commit an operation.. you could right click and asign a hot key for that.. keeping it’s settings.. for example. I extrude a face.. goto the object layers, asign a hotkey for it.. then I bevel, asign that to a key.. with the settings you’ve chosen.. then I make another extrude, with different settings than the first extrude, and asign that.. then you only need to hit the hot key for multple actions.. this would speed up thing a great deal.. say I welded a vert to another vert.. hotkey that welding action.. select 2 different verts and hit the hotkey to do the job, therefor letting you select 2 point together one after another and welding very quikly.. same for most of the other operations too!!.. that would be great! Hotkeying is fast workflow

a small thing with the sub-d modeling, that is, when it is turned on in the properties panal… the actual border of the mesh (this is when working with objects that are not solid and you don’t want to make them solid) well.. he actual border of the sub-d’ed mesh is a bit pointy.. it would be nice to see the edge nice and smooth too.. like the were an imaginary double edge there, really close together, therefor, giving it a nice smooth look…

Bridging edges would be very handy too.. with a setting for how much extra edges you’ld like between said bridged edges..

That’s it for now.. not bad, eh?.. now I know 3DC7 is getting close, so.. these are for up comming releases/updates.

Thanks.
