3DCEditport7a

I’ve just had this problem too. I got over it by editing any UseAnimationCamera settings in the registry to false. Is there a fix yet.

I had this problem just before Christmas. I sent a email to <!– e –>support2@amabilis.com<!– e –>. Hadn’t recieved a response as of yet. I went and reinstalled 3DC. So far so good. I posted my email here, for trobleshooting for Tech. Support. Been curious as to what ‘3DCEditport7a’ means and if it happens again a possible solution. Thanks. Excited about FSX and MSTS2 compatibility.

Hi, I have a problem being stuck in muiltple view ports. If I select the single pane (under View Selection), I get a ‘3DCEditport7a’ window with a Run-time error ‘0’. 3DC closes down. At startup I get a ‘3DC abnormally terminated the last time it was used. Would you like to attempt recovery of your unsved document.’, at startup (I this is because of the shutdown). I have even selected ‘new’ to clear memory. I can select the other 5 window panes, but when I select the single pane, I run into to problems. I know 3DC isn’t designed for Vista (I have Vista Home Premium 64-bit system) but I would like to stay with 3DC because of the Flight Simulator X plug-ins and RailSimulator. System HP Presario m9152p Intel Duo 2 Core Q6600, 4 GB memory, NVida GeForce 8800 GT 512MB video card. I have 3DC 7.1.2 installed. Could the file MSVBVM60.dll be bad ?.

If I had to guess, I’d say this was likely a problem where 3DC somehow made invalid entries in the Windows Registry regarding the size, and configuration of viewports.

I’ve put in code to try to recover from these sorts of events, but it doesn’t always work.

Btw, I got your email on December 23rd, which was pretty much the worst possible time to receive a support email: Christmas, a re-install of Vista, travel between continents, a 10 hour time change to adjust to, Internet ‘down’, mail server problems, and lost glasses. (that was quite a list of excuses wasn’t it!) When I am out of commission there isn’t anyone to take up the slack unfortunately. But, all is well now. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

I just got another report of this problem and had a thought of how I can fix it. If it happens again, a screen capture of the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareVB and VBA Program Settings3DC 7ApplicationXFView00Mode would give me the information I need.

I’ve experienced this too – I did remove something to do with window sizes from the registry to resolve it.

I’m sure this was mentioned on the forum somewhere in the past year?

Yes, it was.

this
post.

I am trying to avoid this error, by making sure the camera is in layout mode, before changing views.
