I’m a returning 3D Canvas user and when I installed the 8.2 version or the 9.1 version, I received the error #372. I am using Windows 7 Professional 32-bit version. Hopefully you have come up
with a fix or will have soon.

I hope this helps in your troubleshooting. This sounds like a common problem, whether its 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.

As a followup to the above, I noticed that all or least most of the modules are .ocx files insteal of .dll files. This leads to what versions of Microsoft Studio are being used to produce 3DC and what runtimes are needed. My Windows 7 32-bit Professional is very cranky about .ocx files, and you may be on the right track if this is a registry issue. The versions of VB2010 and C# 2010 on my machine are Express editions. I have both the C++ Express and the full C++ distribution installed.

I have a version available to test the installation. It can be downloaded here: Download 3DCrafter Test[/url:3d2o19ey]
In response to your providing a Test version of 3DCrafter I installed it after removing all vestiges of the original installation. After I installed it and ran it I got the same error message as on previous attempts. The data from the documents folder is listed below. I also noticed that the Media Folder from the Program Files3DCrafter Folder is being copied into the Documents Folder also. It contained the Components Folder with the 3DCrafter 3D Canvas Object Library, the Household 3D Canvas Object Library, the Skeleton 3D Canvas Library, and the Text 3D Canvas Object Library and the Texture Folder with 3D Canvas Materials Library and all the other Texture Bitmaps. Is there a name conlict going on? When I tried to look at the sub folders in the transferred Media FolderComponents Folder I got the Error #91 message.Ths Texture Folder properly displayed the Icons for the 3D Canvas Materials Library and the Texture Bitmaps. Hope this helps.

As a followup to the previous message I installed the Test version on another computer and got the same results with Windows 7 Professional. I also disabled the AntiVirus software and tried that on both machines. I got the same results. Since the second machine is much slower loading than my main one, when the splash loading panel was present the error #372 indication appears when that it is initializing the construction panel.

My question is what do these computers have in common that is not common to other computers? There must be something, since 3DC seems to run correctly on a significant majority of hardware out there. It seems to be quite a coincidence that you have two computers where it doesn’t run.
