Uninstall and delete the 3dc folder. Restart machine and reinstall. This normally works <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
There is also a new revision in downloads – so you might as well install this one <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

My 3DC is no longer running normaly after applying the last 2 patches. Each time I apply a primitive I get andquot;Unable to determine object position. Setting to default positionandquot; and then it freezes sometime. Another thing is that the checkerboard floor is no longer showing up. The Visible Grid button is no longer working. And the fill tool result now in an automatic freeze. Is there a file I can delete to get the default settings? Uninstalling and reinstalling did not work.

Glad you got it fixed – all’s well that ends well.

It seems that my registry cleaning fixed all problems. I applied 3 primitives with textures and no freezes! <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

PS: Can it be that one of the plug-ins from the download section messed it up?

I’m now trying to clean the registry manually. Ouff! 3DC have tons of keys.

I will have to pass it on…. anyone ?

Just thought – don’t forget to uninstall the lp/pro upgrade as this could cause problems – there is a new upgrade for r3. (I think andnbsp;)

Uninstalling does not remove the stuff from the registry.

Did you do as above ? Uninstall, delete old folder and [b:33il4hrl]restart[/b:33il4hrl] your machine ? Sometimes windows does not clear everything until it has shutdown and restsrted.
Are you having this problem with a new scene or only with a loaded one ? Have you install anything new ? New drivers ?
If none of these work and you are running xp or me you could try andquot;rolling backandquot; to an earlier version.

I tried to install it in a different directory but that did not help too.
I have the 5.5c R3 installed atm.
